Course Description:

This 2 credit, reading-based asynchronous distance course was developed in 2023. This course will familiarize social workers with a beginner's level of Human Trafficking in the United States. The course will cover different types and venues of human trafficking, victims of human trafficking in healthcare settings, warning signs of human trafficking in healthcare settings, and trauma-informed care perspectives for human trafficking victims. This course is self-paced, non-interactive, and may be completed at your own convenience.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Recall different types and venues of human trafficking in The United States.
2. Identify victims of human trafficking in healthcare settings in The United States.
3. Identify warning signs of human trafficking in healthcare settings for adults and minors in The United States.
4. Describe a trauma-informed care perspective for human trafficking victims.

Intended Audience:

This is a Beginner's-level course intended for all education levels of the Social Work profession.

This course is a one time fee of $20. This course is non-refundable. There is no registration deadline as long as the course is still active and approved for CE credit.

How To Receive Credit:

Complete the post-test quiz at the end of the course. A passing grade of 75% or higher is required to receive CE credit. You may retake the post-test if necessary.
